Project Detail
Campbell Street Primary School has been working on the development of the Super Dupers’ garden.
Project summary
Campbell Street Primary School has been working on the development of the Super Dupers’ garden. This garden now includes a playground area designed and implemented with native bird attracting plants, a wall garden with a mixture of herbs and flowers and some climbing plants to cover brick walls.
Students worked together to use their maths skills to work in the design of a structure to support the vertical garden, followed by research assignments on what flowers, fruits and herbs were suitable to grow in it. With their parents help, students successfully implemented the vertical gardens and framed and fenced the garden.
Currently, the Super Dupers Team is watering, planting and weeding the garden and observing and measuring the plant growth. The garden looks fantastic and there is ongoing support to see its growth and development.
